In a shake-up at Menacom, Wunderman CEO Nassib Boueri has been moved up to take on the chief exec role at Intermarkets, in addition to his current role.
Boueri replaces Nadim Sfeir as Intermarkets CEO, who is moving to the Menacom level.
AdNation understands the move happened a couple of weeks ago, but is only now becoming public.
Commenting on the move, Boueri said: “I’m very excited for this new challenge.
“I’m trying to put some buzz on this, to create some hype on Intermarkets. In my perspective I think there’s a bit of credibility from Wunderman that I can bring along to Intermarkets, so I want to try and use this for a good startup, for a good feel in the market,” he added.
Boueri emphasised that he was seeking to boost the profile of Intermarkets – perhaps, in our view, one of the less well-known Menacom brands – with his move to the agency, rather than imbue it with credibility – which, of course, it already has.
Having taken on the new role only a short time ago, Boueri said he hadn’t made any immediate plans for the future of Intermarkets, but suggested he may have more to talk about by the end of the month.
There's definitely a trend with high-level movements across the region at the moment. Is it something in the air?
This story was updated with news of Sfeir's move to Menacom, and to clarify Boueri's quote.
