Mems takes on new DMI acquisitions

Written by Eliot Beer, Thursday, 21 January 2010

It's a done deal...Dubai Media Inc has signed a five-year deal with Middle East Media Services, contracting out ad sales across all its various media brands to the Choueiri subsidiary, according to a report in The National.

Mems has been flogging DMI’s space for years, but this new deal expands the arrangement to include DMI’s recent acquisitions from Arab Media Group: papers Emirates Business 24/7, Emarat Al Youm, and lost-sheep Al Bayan.

“For us, it’s basically a consolidation and a strategic partnership with DMI,” said Ghassan Harfouche, MD of MEMS,” quoted in The National.

“It also reconfirms the value that our company can bring to media owners, and has brought to DMI,” he added.

DMI didn’t speak to The National – let alone us – but we imagine that the Mems deal is likely to impact people with sales positions who came over from AMG.
