Masafi takes Brand of the Year gong at Superbrands |

Mineral water-cum-random foodstuffs brand Masafi has picked up Brand of the Year at this week’s Superbrand event in Dubai, which also saw 74 other UAE brands given Superbrand status.
“Masafi may have started out as a humble mineral water brand but has diversified into flavoured water, juices, tissues and gourmet chips taking the market by storm with the launch of each new product. The brand has now become synonymous with water in the UAE,” said Mike English, director of Superbrands Middle East, in a press release.
As to the other 74 brands, the press release remains silent – aside from informing us, a number of times, that 74 brands were given Superbrand status. That’s 74, fact fans – 74 brands.
All 74 new Superbrands – and, of course, Masafi – will see their profiles published in the 2009 Superbrands book, which will also include a “Things You Didn’t Know” section, which promises to be more exciting than a bag of maddened cats.
