Lynx investigating more agencies

Written by Eliot Beer, Thursday, 02 April 2009

LynxThe organisers of the Dubai Lynx are looking into more accusations of scam work (and copy-cats?), according to the Campaign Middle East blog.

“We have received complaints relating to other pieces of work. Just because we have dealt with some already, this does not mean we are not looking into others. We are looking into other pieces from Doha and from other agencies,” the blog quoted Dubai Lynx festival director Steve Lane as saying.

The blog didn’t name any agencies or work, but considering “John Doh” posted a long list of work accused of being scammed/copied/whatevered, we would guess it’s most likely to be on that.

As to which and what and who, we won’t even venture a guess.

In the meantime, Advertising Age also joins the reporting fray, describing the FP7 Doha stripping as "one of the most rampant cases of festival fakery" to date, as well as some fresh comments from erstwhile Lynx judge Steffan Postaer on the whole mess.

Looks like this is going to rumble on for a little while yet.
