Lawandos returns to Promoseven fold

Written by Eliot Beer, Wednesday, 16 December 2009

Marc LawandosPromoseven in Saudi Arabia has brought back former staffer Marc Lawandos into the fold, now as regional director.

Lawandos has been working at Grey in the same role for the past couple of years. The prodigal son returns, time to kill the fatted calf, and all that sort of thing.

“It wasn't simple coincidence or the governing rules of supply and demand that made me join the Promoseven family again, but... homesickness,” said Lawandos in a slightly emotional press release.

“It feels so right to be back among peers that I spent years with and to once again take part in a network that has grown exponentially during the past three years. The MCN management has already put forth some major plans for the Saudi market and it is an honour for me to be part of them,” he added.

Yahia Hammoudi, executive VP of MCN Holding, owner of Promoseven, said in the release: “Because of the importance of the Saudi Market, we are committed to adding the essential building blocks in order to solidify and optimise our approach.

“Marc will be one of those blocks and his professionalism and enthusiasm will surely help to get us there. This is just the first episode and we have many more to unfold as part of our strategic initiative to build our agency,” added Hammoudi, also saying that Promoseven is getting busy with getting digital – and getting Saudized. Or however one puts it.

Anyway, hiring lots of Saudi nationals.
