Comcast tortoises overcome by speed

Written by Eliot Beer, Wednesday, 04 March 2009

He feels the need, the need for speed... “Turtles have always grossed me out. They remind me of snakes with a shell,” says Trendhunter Vincent Salera.

But he makes an exception for these wisecracking turtles (or does he mean tortoises?) in Comcast’s latest television spot. The male reptile faints at the mere thought of the increased speed Comcast will be providing to its customers. Cute.

We’d love to see an appropriately to-scale version for the Middle East, with some other creature in place of the tortoises. However, after thinking about it, we guess a spot featuring two inert lumps of rock might not be so entertaining...

The ad was created by advertising agency Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco with creative direction by Chris Ford and Meaghan Oikawa. The copy was written by Jean Weisman.
