Budweiser lads make comeback, vote Democrat

Written by Eliot Beer, Monday, 27 October 2008

After eight years, the Budweiser boys of “Wassup” fame are back, and they’ve reunited for an Obama campaign commercial. The video has the men in a much unhappier state than when they were last seen. There’s no beer, football game or pizza. Now they’re jobless, homeless, fighting in Iraq, experiencing the economic crisis, and unable to afford medical treatment.

“Wassup? Change, that’s wassup,” is the new tagline, and the guys are certain that Obama is their man.

The piece was produced by Katie Matson Walker of Believe Media, under the direction of Charles Stone.

“Even with the effects of a down economy and imminent change in the White House, the boys are still able to come together and stay true to what really matters,” said Advertolog.
