Anything for a Pepsi – soft drink ads with bizarre barters

Written by Eliot Beer, Sunday, 12 October 2008

Anything for a Pepsi...These fun French Pepsi ads play off the concept that people will give just about anything in exchange for a can of Pepsi.

Allowing a teenager take over lifeguard duties and perform the “kiss of life” technique on an attractive woman? Sure. Giving your truck keys to a monkey in exchange of the magic can? Yup. And finally, trading off your astronaut suit just before rocket launch for a can of Pepsi? You betcha!

Of course the idea is extremely silly and unrealistic – but it’s funny to look at and easily understood from the first glance at the ad.

The ads from CLM BBDO were photographed by Vincent Dixon with art director Cedric Moutaud, and creative directors Jean Francois Sacco, and Gilles Fichteberg.
