Brand Lounge is set to open its Riyadh office this week, at the Saudi Media Show.
The branding agency, the regional partner of Trout & Partners, started working on establishing a Saudi presence in May this year when it formed a strategic alliance with Memar Construction & Development.
“At the Saudi Media Show we will take advantage of our participation to meet with hundreds of prospects and the respected media body in the Kingdom, and showcase to them our plans in Saudi and our differentiated approach to branding & marketing that we intend to offer to clients in Saudi Arabia. An approach that is inspired and utterly driven by the founding father of the concept of differentiated strategic positioning, Jack Trout: the world's foremost marketing strategist,” said Hasan Fadlallah, founder and MD of Brand Lounge, in a press release.
The agency certainly seems to have drunk the Jack Trout Kool Aid; the press release goes on to big up Trout & Partners, and promote Brand Lounge’s access to the big man himself.
Brand Lounge is also apparently happy to eschew modesty and reasonable claims for wonderful statements such as: “Brand Lounge promises to utterly differentiate your business and position it away from competition through precisely engineered and uniquely crafted brand strategies.”
As opposed to the timeless wisdom eschewed by Trout?
In any case, Brand Lounge is now GO in Riyadh, and snarky comments aside, the Kingdom’s still-maturing economy could probably do with some brand development.
