The lingering feeling of gloom that inevitably followed news of Eliot Beer’s departure from AdNation to pastures new will hopefully be alleviated a tad by news that Alokozay Tea – a brand that “represents a taste that is both rich as well as revitalizing for your body & mind” – was recently relaunched at Gulfood 2010. It certainly cheered us up.
The marketing team came up with a few enterprising ideas to entice visitors to the stall. Building Jenga-style towers out of Alokozay boxes was exciting enough, you’d have thought, but throw in the beatboxing of Alokozay’s Emcee, Ahmed Faraj Salahat – who “stopped the passing crowd dead in their tracks” with his skillz – and you’ve got marketing magic happening right there.
Oh. We haven’t even mentioned the best idea. Karaoke. Uh-huh. But not just karaoke karaoke. This was karaoke “with the strategic replacement of the word ‘Alokozay’ in songs”. Imagine! Seriously. Imagine.
Anyway, the point is that Alokozay has rebranded. See what you’re missing Beer? Eh?
