Flip zips to hip tip

Written by Eliot Beer, Tuesday, 26 January 2010

Yousef Tuqan Tuqan, gesticulating passionately.Yeah, yeah, yeah, we get it already: lots of companies are moving to the spiffy Abu Dhabi meeja freezone twofour54 – and the latest is digital agency Flip Media.

Flip’s new Abu Dhabi office is the firm’s ninth around the world, joining operations in Qatar, Manama, Mumbai, Leipzig in Germany, Trivandrum in the Indian state of Kerala – and its Dubai headquarters.

“As a company that started operations in the UAE, it's a natural progression to strengthen our presence in the Emirates with a dedicated office in Abu Dhabi. Since 2005, Flip Media has played an integral role in shaping the digital strategies of some of Abu Dhabi's most iconic brands including Mubadala, Sorouh and twofour54,” said Flip CEO Yousef Tuqan Tuqan in a press release.

“Our new premises at twofour54 Abu Dhabi, a hub for creativity in the Middle East, will provide us with the opportunity to partner with other like-minded individuals and firms in the industry, which will be vital to Flip's continued growth and progress,” he added.

Flip’s announcement follows on from TBWA\Raad’s news earlier this week that its Abu Dhabi office would be relocating to... yep, you guessed it: twofour54.

If it goes on like this we’re going to get a fill-in-yourself story form.
